GNU/Linux is amazing, you can bring an OS in your pocket. In this case i’m put openSUSE 11.2 to Vico’s USB flash disk (UFD), with SanDisk brand, which tiny physical size but habing large space, approximately 4GB. Actually i do not have UFD, so it’s my first experience to make GNU/Linux live USB, please be understand it because i am just a newbie wannabe :”>.
After success “planting” openSUSE to UFD, i get idea to try it on my campuss public computer. So, after having prayer i realize it soon
.
Enter to “TKP” and say hello to the “trial machine”:
Look at current operating system was running:
Plug Vico’s tiny gun
Check gun’s status, ahaaa it plug and play ! (what a “cupu” admiration ~_~”):
To make sure it work properly, let’s cek to the file manager :p
The gun was ready, let’s close the window:
Be patient untill machine shows you brand of motherboard:
Pause for a while to know key button for entering BIOS:
Welcome to the BIOS:
Go to BIOS boot menu:
But, our gun is not in the list
:
Ok, we back then go to hard drives list:
Obviously it is there
:
Our gun become king for a while:
Finally our gun as the first boot option:
Escape from BIOS:
Welcome to openSUSE:
Menu list:
Activating the heart of operating system:
It looks like chameleon
Busy cursor:
Desktop is ready to be used:
Our OS connected to DHCP server, appropriate if it gets IP address automatically. Surely we check network condition:
Network okay, then trying firefox, pidgin, etc:
Enough? No, i am testing bluetooth service now:
Yep, done! Then i’m using this OS to chat and browse while manupalting some picture. Total time about 5 hours, and during using the gun show an amazing performance. Thumb up to linux live usb, it’s so portable, so powerfull, and so great to assist our daily activity
